Timing connector location

Where on the firewall is the connector you ground when timing the ignition a 91 Laser 1.8 ? What color is the wire?

So I picked this car up two or three weeks ago, it is a 1989 Integra. When I got the car the previous owner cut out the cat, put in a cherry bomb and cut the stock muffler off. It basically sounded like a retarded lawn mower. Took the car down to bob and seth, they took good care of me. Then the car started running really poorly, and kept dying. So I went through replaced the plugs, cap, terminals and battery (had a huge truck battery in there). Car ran fine for about 3 days, died again. Just got done replacing the alternator last night, and its back on the road for now.

How it looked when I picked it up, notice the white front lip, sides and rear bumper. All over sprayed and with runs everywhere.

The Gauge cluster surround and center console were rattle canned white, with runs all over them. It was horrible.

Also, don't ask why, decided to paint the awesome 17" American Racing wheels black today as I do not plan on keeping them long

So I ended up buying some springs that were for an 88 Accord, we thought they would work, turns out they didn't at all. No big deal. So we ended up cutting two links of the rear stock springs, not a huge difference but enough...... Figured out how to lower the front end with the torsion bars, there is an easy way that only lowers it about an inch and a not so easy way that you can slam the bitch with. I decided to go with the easy way for now, with winter coming and all. Also been doing a little research on some performance stuff.....we will see how that goes. And put in a new cd player as the 25 dollar walmart one was just not cutting it for me haha.

also know the bay looks hideous, it looked wayyyy worse before i cleaned it a bit

Dizzy shaft play

Is there suppose to be some shaft play in the dizzy? I was checking things i touched yesterday when removing my a/c compressor, And i noticed there was play in the dizzy shaft where the rotor goes. So i checked the other dizzy i have and it has a little play too but not as much i think.

Hell yeah, gots my self a potential drift car.

I doubt I'll actually drift it, at least not for along time till i get use to the car. I might try some donuts in a parking lot tho. I'd make sure it was a nice empty parking lot w\o any light pulls, like a big loading dock behind a warehouse or sum sum.

Need advice fast

Alright so the engine in DT was no good, none repairable. I just got done calling around and i found a running engine with a 30 day warranty for 450. Should i get that and drop it into Dt, or should i source a block/crank/rods and everything else i need and just build one. I want the black car running so i can take the time and fix my little suzie. I can also get an almost complete engine for 150 from another yard but the condition of it is unknown and it'll be sold as is. That one i would most likely have to rebuild. I got the money to buy the 450 one right now, and i could have the black car running hours after i purchase the engine.

Update: Or should i buy a 92 1gb 2.0 that looks clean as hell for 300. It just has a blown head gasket possibly. Going to check it out tomorrow.

Geocities was taken down

Not that it might not matter or affect a lot of people but Yahoo! went the way AOL did with AOL Hometown and has taken down their free Geocities web hosting. If you ever had a Geocities page and anything was on it it's gone now. Sucks too because some of the far reaches of Geocities has interesting stuff made by people.

Almost ready to come out

Well after i pulled the head off of the 94 eclipse, i pretty much havent touched it since. So yesterday i got bored and had some free time and started stipping the engine down. Dt's engine is almost ready to be pulled out. The block looks so tiny.

The damn crank is still locked up. Im hoping the damage is machineable.

What happened in Flordia

Well, it sure was not pretty! Got to panama city, drove an hour each way and the old guy decided not to do more then 3 cars! Pops could not find a job at a body shop there, so we headed to Brandon FL. where he went to work for a guy who was not going to pay him at all, for the work he done! Until he found out I knew where he lived. So he made a huge amount there of $300, split there moved to Springhill Fl where we came from. That was after talking to some guys there who we use to do work for, that was a bust also, again they didn't want to pay him. He got $20-50 a day. While we tried to pay for a hotel room!

A guy found us a nice house even had a pool! One minute from everything, one problem nobody was hiring. Rent day came due no money for the rent, because the guy he was working for said our bills were not his problem, well paying him WAS his problem. So we looked at it this way call some people back in Tennessee or live on the street. I'm back in Tn. In a trailer for now, but money's flowing again. Should be looking at that talon yet this week or weekend.

Thought I was getting into powder coating but the guy is still in business so no go there.

vaccum pressure

Okay well i bought a vaccum pressure tester today. So i tested it, at idle it read around 18 and only fluctated a little bit, which according to the book means either sticking valves or ignition miss. Then i also reved it and the needle would jump really high and fall really low. The book says that means weak valve springs, worn vavle stem guides, or leaky head gasket. Okay well i made a video of it, so can someone check it out and see if i read everything right? thanks guys

Update: Okay so that first test i did was a a running test. So i went ahead and did a cranking vaccum test and i got a steady pulsing between 17-18 inches. The book thing says that a little pulsing is normal for 4/6 cylinder engines. But if thats not normal for our car then it says its either due to burned/stuck valves, or worn intake guide. Oh yea my car does smoke white, and i've noticed my raditor light is starting to come on more frequently for me to add more fluid. But it looks like my head is my problem. What do you guys think? let me get a few opinions before i go ahead with rebuilding the head.
